Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper
£18k - £20k per annum
Mon - Fri 9:00am to 6:00pm

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookeeper to join a well established vehicle leasing company in Telford.

Position Summary
As an Accounts Assistant / Bookeeper, your main role is to keep an official track of company spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the outgoings.

Additionally you will be tasked with the following duties;
• Sales & Purchase Ledger input and maintenance
• Chasing Debtors
• Paying Creditors
• Cash Book input & Maintenance
• Cash Flow
• Bank Reconciliations
• Completing VAT returns
• Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
• Managing petty cash transactions.
• Working with spreadsheets,
• Calculating Salesmen's KPi's
• Prepayments & Accruals
• You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the monthly/quarterly/annual accounts.
• Monthly Wages
I. Making the monthly payments on time II. Working out tax and national insurance deductions
III. Setting up new members of staff
IV. Calculating Commissions
V. Issuing tax forms (P45s for example) VI. Managing special situations like maternity or
sickness pay
VII. Maintaining Employee Records

Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required experience and skills to undertake this role, including;
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Sage L50, Sage Payroll & MS Office particularly Excel
• Great with numbers & highly organised
